Own Interior Design Limited (“the studio”, “we”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This page sets out what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

• Enquiry details — the name, email address, telephone number, property location and project description you submit through a consultation or contact form.
• Client brief responses — the answers you give in the eDesign client brief questionnaire, which is hosted by Typeform.
• Project files — photographs, plans, inspiration images and documents you upload for your project.
• Account details — the email address associated with your purchase and a hashed password, if you create a client portal account.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to carry out design work you have commissioned, and to administer your account and project record. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Processors we rely on

• Stripe — payment processing. The studio never sees your card details.
• Typeform — the client brief questionnaire and its email notifications.
• Dropbox — secure file requests for photographs and plans.
• Google Sheets — a record of brief submissions, restricted to the studio.

How long we keep it

Project files are retained for twelve months after final issue. Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within twelve months. Financial records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to studio@own-id.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
